Communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Facilitation of procedures for entry into the homeland - 29/12/2025

Following instructions from the High Authorities, it has been decided to extend until 31 December 2026, the exceptional provisions currently in place for members of the national community abroad, allowing them to enter and exit the national territory with a valid foreign passport exempt from visa, accompanied by an Algerian biometric document even if expired (passport or national identity card).

This exceptional and derogatory measure also applies to minor children aged 15 or under who do not hold Algerian documents and are traveling with their parents and/or legal guardians, upon presentation, as appropriate, of civil status documents proving the family relationship (family record book, family sheet) and/or documents certifying guardianship status (kafala, guardianship ruling).
